DENR Administrative Order No. 90-15 establishing regulations governing the utilization, development and management of mangrove resources.

The purposes of this Administrative Order are to conserve, protect, rehabilitate and develop the remaining mangrove resources of the country. It shall be prohibited to grant or renew mangrove timber licenses or permits which authorize the cutting of these trees for commercial purposes in areas outside the coverage of Fishpond Lease Agreements and mangrove plantations. The protection, development and management of mangrove areas shall be the responsibility of the concerned Regional Offices of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in coordination with the Department of Agriculture.
