Executive Order No. 542 Creating the Task Force Pawikan and Appropriating Funds Therefore.

The Order institutes a Task Force Pawikan in order to enforce existing rules and regulations on the protection of marine turtles from extinction, facilitate their breeding, increase collective awareness on the problem, both economic and ecological, of the marine turtle conservation, and coordinate the international agencies concerned with the conservation of marine turtles. The Task Force Pawikan Council shall administer a special yearly fund to conduct its activities and shall be chaired by the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources.
