Abstract
These implementing rules and regulations shall apply to all public laundry including commercial laundry such as laundromat, dry cleaning laundry, linen- supply laundry, diaper-supply laundry, and public laundry places such as a community laundry area, as well as institutional establishments with laundry equipment and facilities such as hotels, dormitories, hospitals and other health-related institutions. The Regulation provides for sanitary permit issued by the local health officer, health certificate for the personnel, sanitary facilities such as water supply, solid waste management, food and drinks, sewage disposal, bathroom and hand washing facilities and vermin control. The Regulation further provides for construction requirements including windows and doors, walls and ceilings, floors, lights and ventilation, requirements for community laundry, commercial laundry and laundry services. Final provision refer to inspection and evaluation, reporting and responsibility of the local health officer. This Regulation consists of 20 Articles and has 2 Annexes.
