Abstract
This Regulation provides the guidelines for the establishment of Local Drinking Water Quality Surveillance (LDWQS) programs in each Local Government Units (LGU) through the creation of Local Drinking Quality Monitoring Committee (LDWQMC) for the use of all LGUs and the national and regional offices of the Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). General guidelines refer to accessibility of drinking water as a public assessment and monitoring the safety and acceptability of water supplies. The Regulation provides for establishment of the LDWQS program, its creation and function. The Regulation further provides for roles and responsibilities of DOH for coordination with other agencies and unites for implementation of this Regulation, relevant officers and committees in charge and the provincial health authority. This Regulation consists of 11 Articles.

This Order shall take effect fifteen (15) days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette or in any national newspaper of general circulation, with three (3) certified copies to be filed with the Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR)of the UP Law Center.
