Abstract
This Circular is drafted to ensuring that tourism activities do not negatively affect species populations anywhere within their migratory range and at the same time do not pose risk to human health and well-being. This Circular shall apply to all marine wildlife tourism activities occurring in natural marine habitats in the Philippines. This Circular follows the objectives for no adverse effect on marine wildlife behaviours and population, safety of the tourists and tour operators, enhance the marine wildlife tourism, promote responsible and sustainable marine wildlife and to identify dedicated marine wildlife tourism sites in the Philippines. The Circular provides for regulations governing the conduct of marine wildlife tourism interactions, establishment of zones, code of conduct within zones, prohibited acts in dedicated interactions sites and monitoring. The text further provides for collaboration with other agencies including the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), Air Transportation Office (ATO) and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). The text consists of 16 Articles divided into 5 Chapters. The text has 4 Attachments.
