Philippine Agriculturists Act (Republic Act No. 12215).

This legislation is enacted to regulate the practice of the agriculture profession in the Philippines, establish a Professional Regulatory Board for Agriculturists under the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), and provide for the licensure, registration, and continuing development of agriculturists. The Act recognizes the critical role of registered agriculturists in national development and aims to ensure their competence, ethical standards, and global competitiveness through transparent licensure exams, curriculum upgrades, and professional integration. It defines key terms, sets qualifications and duties for board members, outlines the licensure examination process and scope, and provides for registration both by examination and, under certain conditions, without examination. The law further mandates the development of the agriculture curriculum, continuing professional development, and the integration of all registered agriculturists into a single accredited organization, thereby fostering professionalism and excellence in the field.
