Philippines Action Plan for Sustainable Consumption and Production (PAP4SCP).

The Philippine Action Plan for Sustainable Consumption and Production (PAP4SCP) is a detailed document that focuses on accelerating the shift towards sustainable and climate smart practices and lifestyles in the Philippines. The plan envisions a future where more Filipinos produce and consume green goods and services to contribute to the country's long term vision of a matatag, maginhawa, at panatag na buhay. To achieve this vision, the Action Plan aims to integrate economic activities' social and environmental impacts into the market system. It emphasizes valuing the economic, social, and environmental costs and benefits of production and consumption processes, as well as ensuring efficient and equitable use of natural resources. The plan also aims to institutionalize the National Convergence Initiative (NCA), determine ecological limits and negative externalities, increase innovation and investment in green technologies, and establish sustainable resource allocation and equitable sharing schemes. Local government units (LGUs) play a significant role in implementing the SCP agenda, with support from national and local budgets. The private sector and academia are encouraged to contribute by sharing existing SCP technologies, providing capacity building support, and integrating SCP principles into relevant curricula. Civil society organizations (CSOs) are also called upon to promote SCP advocacies in their programs and initiatives.
