Agreement between the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and the International Centre for Agricultural Research in the Dry Area (ICARDA).

The Agreement between PARC, the agricultural research coordinating body of Pakistan and ICARDA, an international centre dedicated to promote international cooperation in the field of improvement of cultivation, farming and livestock husbandry in dry areas, sets out the general principles of collaboration for purposes defining a cooperation between the Parties in the field of research into improvement of agriculture and in particular the research into location specific aspects such as climatic effects, disease surveillance and edaphic adaptations. The Parties shall exchange scientists for purposes of training and research, exchange germplasm and breeding materials, exchange literature and other information, and allow import and export of items necessary for collaborative research programs. Benefits of arising form the cooperative effort may be used by either Parties, with recognition of each Party’s contributions. This Memorandum may from time to time be supplemented by workplans.
