Abstract
This Order In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the West Pakistan Foodstuffs (Control) Act, 1958. Except with the sanctions in writing of the Government no host shall distribute, serve or offer, or cause to be distributed, served or offered any food except as mentioned in Schedule I and Schedule II: (a) at or in connection with any private function to more than 25 persons excluding the host or the hosts; or (b) in the case of a marriage ceremony to more than 200 persons. The restrictions contained in Paragraph (1) shall not apply to charitable distribution of food, including 'Niaz', 'Langer' or 'Tabaruk'. No host shall distribute serve or offer simultaneously all or any of the items mentioned in Schedule I and all or any of the items mentioned in Schedule II. If any person contravenes the provisions of clause (3) of this Order shall, as provided in section 6 of the Act, be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years.
