Abstract
These Rules establish the requirements to request a fishing licence in Baluchistan Waters to the Licensing Authority. The fishing licence shall be renewable on payment of the fee prescribed under rule 4 within one month of the expiry of its validity. If a licence is not renewed within the prescribed period, the Licensing Authority may renew it on payment of penalty equal to one-fourth of the prescribed fee, which shall be in addition to the prescribed fee. Production of Licence for Inspection: A holder of a licence shall on demand, produce the same for inspection by a Fishery Officer. The Licensing Authority may issue a duplicate copy of a Licence on payment of a fee of one rupee if the original licence is lost or damaged. Protection of fish in selected water.-A licence granted under these rules does not authorise the licensee to fish within a distance of three miles of the sea coasts in bays of Sonmiani, Ormara, Kalmat, Pasni, Jiwani and Gwadar, except by special permission of the Fishery Officer. No licence-bolder shall employ any device for catching shrimps under 2" size and lobsters under 7" size. Further that no female lobsters loaded with eggs shall be landed.
