Abstract
This Act provides for the regular submission of returns of the quantities of cotton goods manufactured and cotton yarn spun. The Act consists of 9 sections.
Terms and definitions are given in section 2. Owners of mills shall each month prepare and deliver to the prescribed officer a return of all cotton goods manufactured and all cotton yarn spun in the mill during the preceding month (sect. 3). Any officer authorised by the Provincial Government shall have free access to any mill and may at any time examine and take extracts from the records of the mill (sect. 4). The Provincial Government shall publish statements showing for each month the total quantities of goods manufactured and of yarn spun in mills in the Punjab Province. Penal provisions are contained in section 7.
