Cutting of Trees (Prohibition) Act, 1992.

This Act regulates the cutting of trees near the external frontiers of Pakistan. The Act consists of 11 sections.
It shall be prohibited, without a prior written approval of the authorized officer, to cut, fell or damage any tree growing in the two zones as specified in section 3. Penalty provisions are given in section 4 and the fines shall vary depending on the zone in which the offences have taken place. Section 6 deals with the seizure and confiscation of property. The Provincial Government may make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Act.
