Electricity Rules, 1937.

The purpose of these Rules is to regulate the generation, transmission, supply and use of energy.
The Rules specify the qualifications necessary for the appointment of an Inspector who shall enter, inspect and examine any place where there are appliances used for the generation, transmission and supply of energy. No person shall supply energy, unless holding a licence issued by the Provincial Government. Procedures necessary to apply for a licence and conditions of the licence are outlined in the text. The Rules further provide for the following: general precautions for the safety of the public; electric supplies and apparatuses; general precautions for the supply or use of energy at medium or high pressure; aerial lines; precautions to be adopted in mines and oil fields; penalties; etc.
