Abstract
The Act is established to investigate criminal misconduct and corruption by public servants. It grants the Director General and authorized officers powers similar to police authorities, including arrest, search, and seizure, subject to procedural approvals. The establishment operates under the supervision and general control of the Director General, who may delegate powers to subordinate officers. The Government is empowered to make rules for operational procedures, investigations, complaints, and the organizational structure necessary to ensure effective anti-corruption enforcement. The Act consists of 8 Articles and one Schedule on offences.
