Abstract
The Act establishes a legal and institutional framework for regulating public procurement in Gilgit-Baltistan, aiming to ensure transparency, accountability, efficiency, and fairness in the acquisition of goods, works, and services. It mandates the creation of a Public Procurement Regulatory Authority to oversee, monitor, and enforce procurement policies and standards within the region. The Act provides for management and administration of the Authority, establishment of the Gilgit-Baltistan Public Procurement Regulatory Authority Fund, investment, budget allocation and accounts. Final provisions provides for appointment of officers, indemnity, powers of government and the Authority to make rules. The text consists of 28 Articles divided into VI Chapters.
