Irrigation and Drainage Management Transfer Agreement between the Canal Area Water Board and the Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority.

The Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority Act, the Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority Rules and the Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority (Pilot Farmer Organization) Regulations envisage transfer of irrigation and drainage management to farmers at specified levels. This Agreement is entered into by SIDA and a registered Farmer Organization for a specified area. The Agreement provides that water management infrastructure shall be handed over to the said Farmer Organization. The Agreement defines rights and duties of both parties with respect to the operation and functioning of the irrigation and drainage structure and supply of water to the system.
