Mirpurkhas Water and Sewerage Corporation Act, 2023 (Sindh Act No. XLVIII of 2023).

The Act aims to provide for the establishment of a corporation known as the Mirpurkhas Water and Sewerage Corporation for the purpose of supplying potable water and disposing of sewage within the territorial limits of the Mirpurkhas Municipal Corporation.The corporation is granted powers to operate water and sewage services commercially, develop strategic plans for sustainable delivery, set tariffs, and recommend Public-Private Partnership proposals to ensure effective management. Additionally, it is tasked with infrastructure development, waste reduction, and financial sustainability through tariff collection and outsourcing of services. The corporation can grant licenses related to land use for water infrastructure, enter agreements for water and sewage services. The Act further details the corporate structure, including the Board of Directors, and the roles of various officers such as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. The Act consists of 48 Articles divided into XIII Chapters and has 2 Schedules.
