National Commission on the Status of Women Bill, 2012 (Act No. VIII of 2012).

The Federal Government shall constitute a National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW). It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Commission, entitled to perform the following: examine the policy, programs and other measures taken by the Federal government for gender equality, women's empowerment, political participation, representation, assess implementation and make suitable recommendations to the concerned authorities; review all Federal laws, rules and regulations affecting the status and rights of women; shall develop and maintain interaction and dialogue with non• governmental organizations; facilitate and monitor implementation of international instruments, etc.
