Abstract
This Ordinance provides for the establishment of the Natural Gas Regulatory Authority in order to improve the efficiency and availability of natural gas transportation and services in Pakistan through increased private ownership and improved regulation.
The Authority shall be responsible for granting licences to undertake any regulated activity, and levy and collect licence fees. The Federal Government may issue policy guidelines to the Authority regarding the supply of gas to a particular licensed area as provided for in the text. The Act further lays down terms and conditions of the licences.
