Abstract
Provisions of this Act shall include: banning the use of explosives and toxic or poisonous agents in fishing activities; laying down minimum limits on the size of fish that may be legally caught; issuing fishing licences or permits that are mandatory for fishing in public water; declaring any public water to be a sanctuary/reserve for fish at any time and providing for the related restrictions. The provincial government shall appoint Fishery Inspectors whose powers shall extend to inspecting persons, vessels, premises, etc. in order to verify compliance with the ordinance. The Act further provides for offences and penalties.
