Abstract
This Act establishes provisions for the prevention of cruelty to animals. The Act consists of 17 sections.
Sections 3 to 7 prohibit the beating and killing of animals, employing animals to work against their physical conditions, etc., and provide for measures, such as penalties or fines, to be taken against offences. A Magistrate, for the purpose of this Law, may carry out searches and investigate offences, and is entitled to any animal seizure, in case of suspect of any offence (sect. 8). The Provincial Government may make rules to carry out the purposes of this Act (sect. 15).
