Abstract
The purpose of this Act is to regulate the slaughtering of animals. Restrictions on the slaughtering of animals are provided for in section 3. The Veterinary Officer may approve the slaughtering of animals (sect. 4). A Veterinary Officer may enter and search a slaughter-house or any other premises where he has reason to believe that an offence under this Act has been committed (sect. 7). Offences and penalty provisions are given in section 8.
