Abstract
This Act amends the Pakistan Environmental Protection Act, 1997 (XXXIV of 1997).
For section 13 of Pakistan Environmental Protection Act, 1997 (XXXIV of 1997), the following shall be substituted: “13. Prohibition of import of hazardous waste.– No person shall import hazardous waste into the Punjab.”
Amendments are also made on provisions for: environmental ribunals; jurisdiction and powers of Environmental Tribunals; offences and penalties; etc.
