Abstract
These Rules are enacted in accordance with the Punjab Environmental Protection Act, 1997.
A proponent may submit the environmental assessment of a project to the notified officer of the district. The Rules provide for application, preliminary scrutiny, review, etc. for environmental approval, composition of the Environmental Approval Committee, and delegation of powers of the Provincial Environmental Protection to grant environmental approvals.
