Seed (Truth-in-Labelling) Rules, 1991.

The Rules provide for the sale or trade of pure seeds in and out of Pakistan and for the proper labelling in order to attest for seed quality as per the Standards listed in Schedule II. Pure Seeds includes: whole seeds, achenes, schizocarps, mericarps, caryopsis, florets, one flower spike lets and similar (Schedule I).The labels shall list the following:Lot No., crop species, variety, pure seed %, germination, month and year of production, expiration date.
