Abstract
The present Act establishes the principles on the functioning of conformity assessment system, which regards conformity to basic and detailed requirements concerning products and production processes which might be harmful or might protect life, public health and the environment. The Act consists of nine Sections: General provisions (sect. 1); Principles of functioning of conformity to basic and detailed requirements assessment (sect. 2); Accreditation, authorization and notification (sect. 3); Accreditation Centre (sect. 4); Fees (sect. 5); Inspection of products introduced into turnover (sect. 6); Criminal liability (sect. 7); Changes in valid provisions (sect. 8); Transitional and final provisions (sect. 9). The aim of the Act is, in particular, to eliminate environmental hazards.
