Act on supporting sustainable development of fisheries sector with the participation of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.

This Act lays down: (1) tasks and competence of bodies and organizational units concerning supporting sustainable development of the fisheries sector with the participation of funds from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund; (2) conditions and procedure for granting, withdrawing and refunding financial support to the implementation of actions covered by priorities contained in the operational program. The minister responsible for fisheries prepares and provides to the European Commission the national strategic plan for the development of aquaculture activities. This operational program includes the following priorities and activities: (1) promoting environmentally sustainable, resource-efficient, innovative, competitive and knowledge-based fisheries; (2) supporting environmentally sustainable, resource-efficient, innovative, competitive and knowledge-based aquaculture; (3) supporting the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy; (4) increasing employment and territorial cohesion; (5) supporting marketing and processing; (6) supporting the implementation of Integrated Maritime Policy.
