Abstract
The Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of 15 paragraphs and three Annexes, lays down the method of assessing the pollution of the land surface, including: (1) substances causing risk particularly important for the protection of the land surface, their acceptable levels in the soil, differentiated for individual soil properties and soil groups (specified in Annex 1); (2) detailed requirements regarding the determination of the acceptable levels of substance causing risk other than specified in point 1 in the soil, including the analysis of its impact on human healt and the state of the environment; (3) stages of identification of polluted areas; (4) activities that are likely to cause historical pollution of the land surface, with an indication of examples of pollution for these activities (Annex 2); (5) reference methodologies for soil and soil pollution testing (Annex 3); (6) specific requirements for the assessment of soil, land or groundwater pollution.
