Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of 12 paragraphs and 13 Annexes, establishes the method of classifying the status of uniform parts of surface waters, including: (1) physico-chemical, biological and hydro-morphological elements on the basis of quality factors for individual categories of uniform parts of water including different types of surface water; (2) ecological status of uniform parts of water in natural watercourses, lakes and other natural basins, transitional waters and coastal waters; (3) ecological potential of artificial and highly modified uniform parts of surface waters; (4) chemical status of uniform parts of surface water and environmental quality standards for priority substances and for other pollutants used to classify this status. The present Act also lays down the method of interpreting results of tests of quality factors specified above, the method of assessment of the status of uniform parts of surface water, the method of presenting classification results, and frequency of classifying elements specified above, ecological status, ecological potential and chemical status of uniform parts of surface water.
