Regulation on requirements of surface waters used for human consumption purposes.

The present Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of six paragraphs and three Annexes, establishes: requirements of surface waters used for human consumption purposes; frequency of water testing, methods of analysis and evaluation to verify if requirements are fulfilled. Three categories of water quality are defined: A1, simple physical treatment required (in particular filtration and disinfection); A2, typical physical and chemical treatment required; A3, advanced physical and chemical treatment required. Specification of the categories can be found in Annex 1.
