Abstract
This Resolution, comprising 5 articles, prohibits to produce, manufacture, import, or offer for sale table salt if it does not contain iodine in the proportions specified in Palestinian Standard No. 215/97 for table salt. Producers, manufacturers, and importers must clearly label table salt as iodized in Arabic with a distinctive font, while non-iodized salt may be marketed only for iodine-sensitive consumers and must be clearly labeled in Arabic as iodine-free and intended for such individuals. For industry purposes, producers, manufacturers, and importers must clearly label industrial salt in Arabic, stating that it is for industrial use only and not suitable as table salt, using a clear font distinct from the packaging color.
