Decree-Law No. 37 of 2022 amending Decree-Law No. 12 of 2013 concerning the Agricultural Risk Mitigation and Insurance Fund and its amendments.

This Decree-Law, consisting of four articles, amends provisions of the original Law to clarify and adjust the financing of the fund, particularly by specifying farmer contributions and related revenue sources. The key amendments revise Article 24(3) to redefine the fund’s financial resources derived from farmers as follows: (a) a portion, not exceeding 30%, of tax refunds on agricultural goods returned to farmers with their written consent; (b) a 1% levy on the marketing of agricultural products; and (c) insurance premiums paid by insured parties under insurance contracts.
