Abstract
This Decree-Law consisting of 8 articles aims at amending the Palestinian Local Authorities Law of 1997. The two main amendments are (i) article 12 bis that provides for the cases in which the Council of Ministers, upon the recommendation of the Minister of Local Government, may dissolve the Council of the Local Authority; and (ii) article 17 bis on the regard of the salaries of the heads of local authorities and the remuneration of council members establishing that they will be determined with a salary system issued by the Council of Ministers upon the recommendation of the Minister
