Land Sector Strategy 2021 - 2023.

This Land Sector Strategy is a nationwide sectoral document that falls within the broader National Development Plan 2021 - 2023 endorsed by Prime Minister's Office. The Strategy has been developed by the Land Authority (established according to Law No.6 of 2010) to achieve the sector's Vision of reaching a "real estate sector that stimulates investment and ensures efficient management as well as the optimal use of land and real estate". Other goals set up for the sector are (i) fixing and protecting immovable property rights through electronic archiving and the inclusion of owners' card numbers on immovable property records; (ii) raising the efficiency and production capacity of land transactions through the creation of offices to distribute work pressure in the sites, as well as providing some electronic services, improve information systems so that they all operate centrally, increase the number of transactions that end in one working day, and enter some legislative reforms represented in the long run by unifying the legal framework governing the land sector; (iii) conducting a comprehensive real estate assessment of the registered immovable property; (iv) standardization of the geodetic reference by developing a survey work through the establishment of a new national coordinate system to eliminate differences in survey work resulting from the use of multiple coordinate references and in this way reduce conflicts and preserve property and rights; and (v) preserving State property through a strategic development plan prepared by the Land Authority to exploit and invest in state property and its optimal administration in cooperation with the central government, the main and relevant government institutions, including local government bodies, and all partner parties, with a focus on youth, projects for graduates, and sustainable investment business.
