Mandatory Technical Instructions 9-2005 - Wheat Flour.

These technical instructions, consisting 5 articles, aim to protect consumer health and safety as well as the national economy and apply to all types of wheat flour used in bakeries and the food industry. It is established in article 4 that both imported and locally produced wheat flour must comply with Palestinian Standard PS 56-2001 and be fortified with essential nutrients from Ministry of Health approved compounds. A table specifies each nutrient and the minimum allowable amount in milligrams per kilogram of flour. Only certificates of conformity from accredited laboratories are accepted, and samples are tested for compliance based on Palestinian specifications.
