Military Order No. 498 of 1974 on water.

The "Military Governor" of the "Gaza Strip" decrees the competencies of the "Water Officer" who will be nominated by the former's "Order": (a) definition, exploitation and uses of water springs, brooks, rivers, lakes, stagnant waters, surface waters, groundwater, waste waters and sewerage; (b) water rights; (c) tasks of the "Competent Authority"; (d) definition of water standards; (e): water supply services and consumption; (f) water works; (g) authorizations and licences; (h) fees and charges; (i) taxes and levies; (j) competencies of the local tribunal; (k) offences and penalties.
