Abstract
This Decree approves the Agreement, signed in Lisbon on 22 June 2016. The Agreement consists of 9 articles and aims to encourage the cooperation in the area of tourism between the two countries. The Portuguese Republic and the Republic of Ivory Coast, desiring to strengthen relations of friendship and close cooperation between the two countries and their peoples, based on the principles of national sovereignty, equality and mutual benefits; Recognizing the importance of tourism as a development factor and approximation of peoples by the Code of Ethics promulgated by the World Tourism Organization (WTO), which regulates the tourism; establish a cooperation between the two countries through the various fora, private and public sectors and local authorities in the field of tourism; In accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the respective countries: The Parties shall take the necessary measures to promote and strengthen tourist flows and cooperation between the Portuguese Republic and the Republic of Ivory Coast.
The cooperation shall be carried out in the following areas, without excluding others which the Parties may determine in the future: a) Exchange of information and documentation; b) Administration and management of tourism; c) Development of human resources; d) Product development; e) Tourism marketing; f) Cooperation between private sectors.

Entry into force notes
The Agreement shall remain in force for a period of three years and automatically renewed for a further two years.
