Abstract
This Decree-Law establishes the first amendments to the National Catalog of Varieties of Agricultural and Horticultural Species, transposing the Implementing Directives (EU) No. 2016/1914 and No. 2016/2109. It also regulates the production, certification and marketing of seeds of agricultural and horticultural species, with the exception of those used for ornamental purposes, transposing the European Directives into the national legal order. The amendments introduced by this Decree-Law to Annexes I and II to Decree-Law No. 42/2017 of 6 April shall apply only to examinations of varieties of agricultural and horticultural species initiated after the entry into force of this Decree-Law.
