Decree-Law No. 138/95 establishing the Regulation for the Program for the eradication and control of contagious peripneumonia in bovines approved by EC Decision No. 94/511 of 27 July.

This Decree-Law, divided into 12 articles, establishes that the application and execution of the Program (PEVPCB) shall be the responsibility of the following: Institute of Agricultural Production Protection (IPPAA); Regional Directions of Agriculture (DRA); Institute of Financing and Support to Agricultural and Fisheries Development (IFADAP) (art. 1). Articles 2, 3 and 4 respectively define the different competencies for each Institution. Article 5 charges sanitary authorities (ADS) and their departments with the execution of such activity, as well as the creation of a "Crisis Committee" (art. 6). Articles 7-10 define the regime of sanctions and contraventions.
