Decree-Law No. 146/84 authorizing the creation of denomination of origin for traditional cheeses.

This is a protection and promotion measure introduced in view of Portuguese accession to the EC and accordingly declares regions for the purposes of denomination of origin for traditional cheese varieties. The relevant Regulations are to be approved by Rule-making Decree once the views of the local governments of the regions in question have been heard.
