Abstract
This Decree-Law establishes the second amendment to Decree No. 31/2012, as amended by Decree-Law No. 109/2013 of 1 August, approving the organic Food General Directorate and Veterinary, in particular it provides for the preservation of the animal genetic heritage of Sorraia and Garrano breeds.

Decreto-Lei n. 171/2014: Procede à primeira alteração ao Decreto-Lei n.º 109/2013, de 1 de agosto, que extingue a Fundação Alter Real, e à segunda alteração ao Decreto Regulamentar n.º 31/2012, de 13 de março, que aprova a orgânica da Direção-Geral de Alimentação e Veterinária, transferindo para esta direção-geral as atribuições relativas à preservação das raças equinas Sorraia e Garrano e redefinindo o prazo de liquidação da Fundação.
