Abstract
This Decree-Law amends and re-publishes Decree-Law No. 142/2006 on the National Animal Registry (SNIRA). In addition, it also establishes the legal regime for traders and transporters as well as operating rules of collection system for animal carcasses slaughtered within the farm (SIRCA). Amendments deal with necessary information system, registration and veterinary requirements to be met for livestock production, slaughtering and create the Commission for Authorizing Livestock Activities (CALAP). Annex I establishes formal requirements for livestock facilities approval and activity authorization.

Decreto-Lei n. 174/2015: Procede à sétima alteração ao Decreto-Lei n.º 142/2006, de 27 de julho, que criou o Sistema Nacional de Informação e Registo Animal, estabelecendo as regras para identificação, registo e circulação dos animais das espécies bovina, ovina, caprina, suína e equídeos, bem como o regime jurídico dos centros de agrupamento, comerciantes e transportadores e as normas de funcionamento do sistema de recolha de cadáveres na exploração.
