Abstract
This Decree-Law transposes into national law Council Directive 96/22/EC of 29 April on the prohibition on the use in stockfarming of certain substances having a hormonal or thyrostatic action and of beta-agonists, as amended by Directive 2003/74/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September. It prohibits the use of certain substances having a hormonal or thyrostatic action and beta-agonists in animal production and establishes the conditions for the use of some of these substances for therapeutic and zootechnical purposes.
