Abstract
This Decree-Law, consisting of 42 articles divided into seven Chapters and eight Annexes, transposes and implements into National legislation the European Parliament Directive 2014/90 and the Council of 23 July 2014 on the following issues: maritime equipment to improve safety at sea, prevention of pollution of the marine environment through the application of the international instruments relating to marine equipment to be installed on vessels flying the national flag and at the same time to ensure the free movement of such equipment within the national territory and the European Union. This Decree-law is divided as follows: General provisions; Marking of marine equipment; Obligations of economic operators; Conformity assessment and notification of conformity assessment bodies; Market surveillance of the European Union, product monitoring and safeguard provisions; Offences and penalties; Final provisions.
