Decree No. 17/2007 regulating the Regional Forestry Plan of Baixo Minho (PROF BM).

This Decree, composed of 4 articles and one Annex, approves the Regional Forestry Plan of Baixo Minho (PROF BM), to be inforced for at least 20 years. The Decree implements the forestry guidelines contained in the Forestry Act of 1996. The Annex, composed of four Titles divided in 46 articles and two Annexes, contains the Forestry Plan. In particular, it provides forest management and conservation principles and defines limits to forestry practices. Moreover, it defines sub-regions providing, for each of them, tailored forestry systems. Finally, it provides intervention measures and rules on forest fires prevention measures.
