Law No. 114/2015 amending 50/2006 approving the framework of environmental crimes.

This Law amends and re-publishes in Annex Law No. 50/2006. The new Law is composed of 77 articles structured in five Parts. It provides a legal framework applicable to environmental crimes and in particular, it defines specific responsibilities, sanctions and penalties, crimes, prescriptions, and procedures to be applied for illegal environmental activities. Moreover, it establishes the process for contravention, institutes a national cadastre on environmental crimes and a special Fund for Environmental Interventions. Finally, it regulates the general competences of the General Inspector for Environment.
