Abstract
This Order establishes for the national territory the complementary implementing rules to support the wine distillation measures and storage of wine in case of crisis, as provided for in Regulation Commission (EC) 2020/592 of 30 April. The support scheme aims at the production of alcohol intended for industrial purposes, or for energy purposes, and which has been denatured intended for disinfection products or drugs. The support regime is applicable exclusively to the distillation of wines with a designation of origin (DO) or geographical indication (IG), excluding the category of liqueur wines. Wines declared to be fit for the harvest and production declaration and not yet certified are not covered by the support regime. The distillers registered in the Institute of Vine and Wine (IVV,I.P.), provided that they process the wine delivered for distillation under the terms previously established, may benefit from such support. Support is paid to the distiller, and the beneficiaries must be registered in the identification system with Financing Institute for Agriculture and Fisheries (IFAP,I.P.), and ensure that said registration is up to date.
