Abstract
In compliance with Decree-Law No. 69/96 of 31 May, the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries (MADRP "Ministério da Agricultura, do Desenvolvimento Rural e das Pescas") by the present Decree, regulates poultry breeding activities (species selection, hatching production, etc.). Its purposes in particular are: protecting animal's health and controlling the economic domain. This Order is divided into 9 sections, dealing with specific poultry breeding requirements (hatching activity, production of the poultry species listed therein, sanitary procedures, etc.) It specifies also the requirements which farms must satisfy in order to obtain the authorization for poultry breeding to be granted by the Institute for the Protection of Agricultural Food Production (IPPAA).
