This Order approves the Regulation governing intra-Community trade in and the importation from third countries of frozen bovine semen. The Regulation consists of 5 chapters and 6 annexes establishing the sanitary controls to be carried out on the aforementioned activity. The Regulation is divided as follows: Scope and definitions (semen, semen collection centre, veterinary centre, batch, authorized laboratories, etc.) (Chap. 1); Intra-Community trade (2); Imports of semen from third countries (3); Safeguard measures (4); Final provisions (5). Annexes list conditions and requirements to be satiesfied in order to perform the said activity.
