This Order regulates fishing with artisanal towed nets xávega . It is divided into 3 Chapters. Chapter I concerns fishing methods, net definitions (rope length, minimum size of mesh, etc.). Chapter II defines fishing zones and prohibits this method of fishing during the summer between 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; it also establishes fish size requirements, fishermen's duties, use of animals or tractors for hoisting nets and information required for the total fish catch register (species and quantity) to be sent to the General Direction of Fisheries and Aquaculture. Chapter III deals with licence requirements (renewal, duration and cancellation); requests to fish in new areas may be made to the local port authorities. A description of a towed net is contained in the Annex I; a model form of the total catch register is contained in Annex II.
